Cadillac Sky and The Civil Wars

June 11, 2010

As you know, Nashville is known as Music City, and for good reason. I had the opportunity, along with the other interns (in the first photo you’ll see) to see Cadillac Sky and The Civil Wars at the Mercy Lounge last wednesday. Cadillac Sky is a bluegrass band that put on a heck of a show, and just happens to be a Mocha Club sponsor/artist. So, when people signed up for Mocha Club at the concert, they could receive a free Cadillac Sky T-shirt. I hadn’t really heard too much bluegrass music, or at least good bluegrass music, until this show. You should definitely check their music out here: http://www.cadillacsky.net/

Also, The Civil Wars opened for Cadillac Sky and their music is seriously to die for. It’s a duo whose song “Poison and Wine” was featured on Grey’s Anatomy. Their voices are so amazingly beautiful together and their music will surely be your new favorite! And the best part is– you can download some of their music from a live show (an entire album’s worth!) for free on their myspace page, so hop on over to their page and start listening! Click here!

Enjoy the photos from the night and feel free to comment!

Thanks for highlighting these two groups. First time I listened to their music and I agree with you—one of my new favorites.
